About the winery
Discover, experience and taste the Small Carpathians. CARPATE DIEM is a family winery from Šenkvice, which has been operating in the system of organic farming since January 2021. This means that it goes from classic vineyard cultivation to organic cultivation. The introduction of the quality system will result in an indication that their grapes and wines are of BIO quality, declared a hallmark of organic farming in the European Union. From the point of view of the philosophy of viticulture, they have been farming ecologically basically from the very beginning. As part of the protection against vine diseases, they use exclusively organic fertilizers without residues that are harmful to humans and the environment. They prepare the raw material for wine production already in the vineyard. They monitor the health of the grapes throughout the year, thus minimizing any wine additives. The winery manages in its own vineyards with a total area of 7 hectares. They are located in the Malokarpatska wine-growing region in the Modranské wine-growing district in the cadastre of the town of Modra and the village of Šenkvice.
The composition of wine as a food that the winery supplies to the market is a priority for CARPATE DIEM. Therefore, they regularly check it and make sure that it is healthy. CARPATE DIEM is one of the first Slovak wineries to declare low histamine levels in white and even red wines. The histamine content in them has a value of less than 0.00025 g / l, which is a level that is also tolerated by people with histamine intolerance. The winery wants to be open and transparent in its business, which is why it has established cooperation with Gratitude.
CARPATE DIEM is the first Slovak winery to record the entire production process using blockchain technology. Because we want you to know who makes what and how your favorite wine is made. Because we want our customers to know the story of their winery.
