About the winery
Karpatsk perla (The Perl of the Carpathians) is a family winery in Šenkvice, founded by the husband and wife team of Ladislav and Margita Šebo in 1991.
The philosophy of the winery is to preserve the heritage handed down from their fathers, follow the family tradition by cultivating grapes in small Carpathian vineyards and produce high-quality wines. Today, they farm 60 hectares of their own vineyards in the Malokarpatska wine-growing region.
They believe that pearls are found in the vineyard. Therefore, they ensure the highest quality wine through the way they prune the vines in the vineyard and for the third year they are growing grapes organically. The wines reflect the terroir of the vineyards and the unique varietal characteristics.
You can taste them at the winery in stylish tasting rooms. They are also able to cater for family gatherings, celebrations, weddings, trainings or teambuilding. During your visit, don't forget to visit the cellars where the pearls of the winery are maturing. You might also find the new archive created in the space where there were formerly concrete wine tanks interesting. The perfect highlight for a wine-gourmet experience is an ascent to the top of the 21-meter lookout tower with its stunning views over the countryside.
